Karoline creates a great variety of contemporary works of art, often inspired by nature. She mainly works with acrylic paint on canvas. In many cases a rich texture makes for a more profound experience of the picture. Especially in her search for the right colours, nature will be her reliable guide. Visual impressions as well as everyday emotions render new inspiration over and again. Her colour palette ranges from very sober to a lively mix of intense colours.

Her work can be rather abstract, but often also contains a vague suggestion that can lead the spectator where he wants to be lead. Karoline does not avoid the figurative either. She is constantly trying to reinvent herself, manipulating the paint out of emotional experience. She sometimes gets her inspiration from the actual act of painting. Thus, the outcome can be surprising. The resulting emotion with her public is of essential importance. In contrast to many of the contemporary arts, here we still find an omnipresent motivation not to minimize the aesthetical aspects. Nevertheless, she remains open to an innovative look at the contemporary perception of the arts in all its facets.

Karoline has had an education in visual arts, which gave her a thorough basis both for painting as well as clay modeling. Her ceramic figures are brought to life in a simple, expressive way, demonstrating her strong powers of observation.
